Η πρόκριση στο Μουντιάλ χάθηκε στο πρώτο παιχνίδι με την Κροατία και εμείς οι παίκτες φέρουμε την ευθύνη για αυτόν τον αγώνα. Προσωπικά, θέλω να πω ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στον κόσμο για το θερμό του χειροκρότημα που, παρά την απογοήτευση, μας χάρισε απόψε. Από αύριο πρέπει να σκεφτούμε τον επόμενο στόχο μας και να γίνει σκοπός μας να τον πετύχουμε.

We failed to qualify for the World Cup, because of the first game at Croatia. All of us, the players, we have the responsibility for the result of this game. Personally, I feel thankful for the Greek people who tonight, despite of the disappointment, gave us their warmest applause. From tomorrow we must think of our next target and do everything to succeed.
