One day I asked myself, how pure happiness would feel like. I was reading, did research, had impressive conversations about what makes us happy, and what's the ultimate aspiration in life. At some points you think you got it. Yea this is it, this is happiness. And on another day you don't even remember how it felt like. Day by day we're just creating a story, while we still have a feeling inside, that there could be maybe more, somewhere, somehow. Is this the real me? Is this my life? And in between all these thoughts, I just opened my eyes. I opened my eyes to all these people around me. Some are surrounding me my entire life, some just entered at some point and never left. Some will always remind me of what's really important, and some will show what's not. To look back on 23 years now, this is my perfect life, full of people I adore so much, that I would never question again, how happiness would feel like.
It's not a happy birthday today. It's a happy everyday.
